Sam Macdonald: PACWEST Conference Men's Soccer All-Star

The PACWEST is proud to announce the men's Conference All-Stars following a successful 2017 season.

There are 11 All-Star spots to be awarded and three major awards; the Player of the Year along with Coach and Rookie of the Year.

The second seeded Capilano Blues were handed five awards while the top ranked VIU Mariners received four.

Here are the 2017 PACWEST men's soccer All-Stars:

Player of the Year – Keith Jackson – Capilano Blues

The PACWEST will announce the 2017 women's All-Stars on Thursday.

The bracket is set for the 2017 PACWEST Soccer Championships beginning on Friday on the campus of Quest University Canada hosted by the Quest Kermodes.

The championship tournament kicks off on Friday at 5:00pm and features the women's semi-finals. The second seeded Capilano Blues open the tournament facing the #3 Langara Falcons followed by the top seeded Douglas Royals battling the fourth seeded VIU Mariners in a rematch of last year's gold medal game.

The men's bracket will open on Saturday morning at 10:00 when the second seeded Capilano Blues face the #3 Douglas Royals. Then at 1:00pm the top ranked VIU Mariners face the host and fourth seed Quest Kermodes.

Saturday night the women's medals will be handed out beginning with the bronze game at 4:00pm, followed by the gold match-up.

The men's medal games will go on Sunday at 10:00am and 1:00pm.

The PACWEST gold medalists will then represent the Conference at the CCAA National tournament beginning November 8, 2017. The men stay close to home as VIU will host giving the PACWEST two spots in the tournament, while the women will head to Nova Scotia.
